Let's be honest, Yelp while nice is far from a bellwether regarding reality. There are certain Yelpers who like to fancy their own self-importance by thinking that their reviews hold some huge sway of whether a business while thrive or sink (give you a clue brothers, by in large nobody cares since Yelp is used by such a minority of the populous) just like lots of Yelp listings have shill reviews out the wahzoo. I don't know how those two tie into each other or our visit to Zoto's but anyway.... So on first examination it's clear that Zoto's page has got a lot of shill reviews on it that do not reflect reality. Lots of one and two star hit and runs by Yelpers with single digit reviews when the reality is that if you have ever driven down 309 within the last say, 40 years you would have noticed that this placed is normally packed from dawn till dusk. So what this tells you is that clearly those reviews are way off base and/or people don't give a flying fig about what Yelp says with Zoto's three and a half star rating because this place is always five star busy. We came in about 90 minutes before they closed on a Thursday and they still had a good crowd in the place. We were seated right away and our server was fantastic the entire time with refills, bringing food out hot as soon as it was ready and the check was on the table at the end in record time. As for the food: Kids meals here range from $3.39 to $6.99 depending on the meal of the day and what is ordered. A drink is included although there are no refills unless you slouch down to soda (boo-hiss) plus they also throw in dessert with ice cream, fruit or pudding. Two orders of ravioli with a meatball were downed and both were pronounced as awesome. The lovely wife hit up The Chalfont (open face Ruben with corned beef & kraut) and she like The Who called it a bargain because she said it was the best she had ever had. I went breakfast with stuffed French toast which was alright although there was a lack of stuffing as most of what was in there were bitter strawberries. To me Zoto's is the quintessential Greek diner experience with the huge menu, service staff who seems like they have been there forever and a clientele who they legit know by name. I'm glad we finally came as I have been driving by here since the mid-80's and never stopped once until two weeks ago. Hopefully it won't take another thirty years to stop in again because this place is legit.

Tuesday breakfast was very pleasant!! I got mushroom omelette without cheese and it was very good! Also the prices are reasonable. Besides the food, this is one of the few clean diners I've been to! And that's a huge plus!! The server was very vast and friendly. She seemed like she was handling a lot of tables at a time but she still got everything right and kept the service excellent.

Can I give this place less than a one? Gentlemen with a walker escorted to the "waiting area" as to not block he ZERO people coming in. This poor man did not. Block me walking OUT. I promise I will never eat here after the amount of rudeness displayed here.

There are some things that you do, and some things that you don't do as a business. I have eaten here 3 times now. The first 2 times were ok. Maybe worth a 3-4 star rating. But this time, they demonstrated to me what kind of business they were. But I will get to that in a moment. First I would like to comment on the actual building. It's old. Like really old looking. In fact it looks like it needed a face lift already in the 90s. And that just means that the building looks really old, really gross, and really dirt. Not my ideal place to sit and eat. With an old style stool set up near the kitchen entrance, I don't like eating in there. I haven't eaten lunch or dinner there, but I was told by many people that their breakfast is the best. This is also where one of my managers likes to eat for breakfast, so I can accept that. The first time I had huevos rancheros. All in all, it was pretty good. Worthy of 3-4 stars. The next thing I had was the bacon egg and cheese bagel. The bacon was fresh and my only real gripe was that it was a little dry and the bagel a little too meaty. Again another 3-4 stars. This time we were in a bit of a hurry and asked my manager's family member to go order us another set of bacon egg and cheese bagels. Due to some miscommunication we ended up with toast, which wouldn't have been horrible had our hearts been set on bagels and it not our first meal of the day (our days start at 4 in the morning and this was at 11). I can accept that the person may or may not have said toast or bagel. But. The pieces of bacon were pathetically small. I mean, I could have lost them if I wasn't careful. There was also no cheese on either sandwich. I have worked in food service for 8 years, and I enjoy my food, I think I know if there is a gewey cheesy clump of deliciousness on my sandwich. So I called the resturant, and after a 10 minute phone conversation with the hostess on the other end of the phone completely dumfounded and oblivious to what I was saying, her hunting down my recipt, the person that took the order and trying to figure out what was going on, I was told that she would speak to her manager and call me back. Let's remember for a second that as I was on the phone with her, I am staring at my sandwich, moving the bacon around, looking at and under my over cooked egg and communicating things that are wrong and what the situation is. I get a phone call to respond to my problems that I had on my way home from work, and get told that there was in fact cheese on my sandwich, that I must have overlooked it, and that there is nothing they can do for me. The bill was over $10 for 2 sandwiches of 2 pieces of bread, 1 egg, and 1 piece of bacon. I don't intend to go back.

Sorry, there's a reason Z is at the end of the alphabet and if I ever choose a dinner in this area again, I'll try alphabetical as Zotos didn't work for us at any level. Epically unfriendly waitress almost disembowled my brother with her glare when the drink order was clarified to be diet not regular. Three orders off the Daily menu took forty minutes and were all dry and tasteless - seriously, really bad, I'm not being petty. Still tastes bad in my mouth two hours later hence my review. Behold the great mystery - the restaurant was PACKED so maybe we just happened to have their only terrible three meals of the day and the waitress just chose to hate on us OR the people in the area have zero expectations for food and service and consider this a normal Greek diner experience. Sad as I hate writing a bad review but this experience warranted doing so.

Had a great meal here after not having been in the place for many years. The Snapper Soup is justifiably famous. Thick but not too too thick and served w/ sherry like it's supposed to be. A fresh yeast roll was also served w/ plenty of butter packets. I tried a special dish, Chicken Italiano Parmesan, grilled chicken w/ roasted peppers and onions under sauce and cheese. Really good. I liked the tomato sauce so much I want to order other things they put it on. Service was good, not pushy and she never forgot about me.

Do not get the Spanish omelette; it is a jar of salsa poured onto a flattened scrambled egg. I stained my clothes trying to eat a salsa crepe....terrible and way overpriced. I had to return it. The waitress, though she sort of apologized, just said not to order that next time. There will be no next time. Stick to simple things here.

Just left after a 1:45 pm Sunday afternoon meal. I had breakfast while my husband opted for lunch. Let's start by saying this, our waitress was abrasive and rude. I was in the MIDDLE of order my coffee when she turned to my husband and blurted " what do you want!?" In a frightening intimidating tone. Setting the tone for the rest of the meal, speak when spoken to and stay in line. Really, you should've heard her! So, my food comes, sausage and cheese omelette and home fries w/sautéed onions. Inedible, smelled like garbage, totally nasty disgusting potatoes. Pretty sure they scraped all of the potatoes from everyone plates all weekend, then served them to me. Just recalling the smell and taste, I have to fight back gagging. The coffee? Couldn't get through more than 4 ounces tops. NEVER AGAIN! Must be a reason why the cashier didn't said the usual "how was everything"

They charged me 5 bucks for what looked like a shot glass of OJ. This was 2 years ago but it still irks me every time I drive by, so I felt inclined to write this review. They must have went to Florida and hand squeezed the oranges themselves and then overnighted it back here to rationalize the absorbent price. Stick to water or coffee unless you want to buy the entire orange tree.

A good, solid local diner with good food and fast and friendly service. Zoto's has been around forever and I'm glad it's lasted through the years!

We were just visiting the area when we came across this diner. There were a lot of Cara in the parking lot, which is always a good sign, so we pulled in to check it out. We were very impressed with the quality of the food. Friendly people and clean atmosphere.

I was in the area on a business trip and an associate suggested grabbing lunch. We asked one of the local guys for a recommendation, and they sent us to Zoto's Diner. This is your typical diner. Breakfast any time of day, soups, sandwiches, etc. I ordered a lunch special, in which you get a soup, entree from a list of about 12 choices, and a choice of french fries, cole slaw, and I think potato salad. I ordered a crock of French Onion soup, there was an upcharge, but they don't have Matzo Ball soup on the menu, so what's a girl to do? The soup was quite tasty and warmed me up (there was slow flurries when we arrived). I had a tuna salad sandwich on rye bread with lettuce and tomato. The tuna salad was a bit on the drier side, but I can't fault that. I definitely would prefer that to having it drowned in mayo. Apparently you need to ask if you want your bread toasted. Because mine was a bit soggy when it was served to me. The server should really ask you that when they take your order. That's a little peeve of mine, since I love my bread a bit crunchy. I opted for the cole slaw for my side. It was a plentiful portion and equally as delicious. The special also included a choice of soda, hot tea, or coffee. Not bad. I would definitely go back the next time I'm in the area for business.

Stopped by today a little afternoon, so the after church crowd was in full swing. Wait was 5-10 minutes, so not bad at all! Had the Farmer's Omelette, home fries & rye toast with a large orange juice. Everything was good. I only have two gripes -1) there was a not too tiny piece of egg shell on my plate 2) the omelette was a little dry, maybe needed cheese or to not sit under the warmer as long? Service was quick & good!

I stop by during the week for their Country Breakfast special or Soup & Sandwich special. Both include beverage and a great value. My breakfast choice is usually creamed chipped beef over toast with home fries and beverage for $6.59 or for $6.69 a two egg ham and cheese omelette with home fries toast and beverage. Both are delicious. They have 9 different breakfast specials. There are 15 Soup & Sandwich specials all only $8.39 includes sandwich, soup, beverage and fries or coke slaw. Food is good and a great value. The service is always excellent with friendly servers.

Food and price was ok for the amount of Diners I've been to for the same food choices. Had the SOS and short stack of pancakes with a side of sausage. Since me and my bf were a little more hungry (we just got done training legs) we were going to order more however our waiter never stopped by again other then giving our food to us for over 15 minutes. Which was irritating because it wasn't that busy (we would of understood that) and I never got a straw to drink my water :(

Good traditional diner. Been here numerous times - it's always a good choice when you're hungry but you're not sure what you really want. They do breakfast all day - as any true diner should - plus lunch combos, appetizers, Italian dishes and more heartier fare like meat & potato dishes (I'm not a meat & potatoes kinda gal, so I don't partake in that, but the hubs does and he always enjoys it). Omelets are yummy, sandwiches are good, pierogies are good - haven't ever had anything I'd call bad. I wish they'd make their own burgers (they seem like the pre-formed, likely frozen kind). Probably one of the best diners in this immediate areas (hey, this isn't Jersey, you don't find diners on every corner).

Yesterday I went with my family for dinner. We got seated right away. Then the waiter came over and we have had him before. Very nice and kind to all of us. He brought us our water and then we ordered drinks. After that he took our order. About 15 mins later our food came out. I got a cheeseburger, fries and applesauce. It was very very yummy!!!!!! I always get good food here!!! Then we got chocolate cake to take home. My visit to Zoto's was wonderfull!!!!! I would go there anytime!

My friend and I went there to grab lunch the other day. We waited over half an hour for our food to come and when we wanted help our waitress was nowhere to be found, we had to keep asking another waitress for help. The food was terrible, it was cold and my sandwich was sitting out for a while, the bread was so dry, it was disgusting. Once we had enough we asked to speak to the manager, and she didn't care at all, her excuse was that it's busy today. Of course once our waitress saw us talking to the manager she finally came over to our table and was surprised that there was a problem. We were barely out of the door and the manager started talking bad about us to another worker at the diner. Safe to say, I will never go back there and I will make sure everyone knows how crappy this place is!!!

The last time I was at Zoto's I can remember there being a smoking and a non-smoking section. It's been that long. However, except for that detail, it's pretty much exactly how I remember it being back in the 90's. Decent diner food, pretty big menu. Probably has some pretty decent competition with Michael's Diner which I just down the road, but you can get a pretty good meal here for a good price.

Chef John Greenwood makes Zoto's Dining worth visiting. He is a Master of cuisine that rates top star performance... Also, Yvette Greenwood is by far the best of the best when experiencing a perfect dining atmosphere.. 5 star dining experience based on John and Yvette!

The food is lousy, the staff is arrogant, there are roaches and the owner Nick Zoto is a jackass.

Decent diner food. The service is pretty good, but the offset is that most of the stuff on the menu is way overpriced for what you get. Diner food doesn't have to be cheap, but if you raise the prices, you should raise the bar on the food.

have eaten here fairly often since 1996. the diner is bright and clean. servers and greeters are all friendly. food here is consistently good. the menu is fairly standard to for a diner and while i don't think there is anything on the menu that i would rate as spectacular, they do everything consistently well.

My family and I have been going here for years. It's a great place to eat especially for dinner. The portions are decent size and the staff is friendly. I don't remember ever getting a bad meal. Their mac and cheese is amazing! A little pricy but it is definitely worth it! I highly recommend Zoto's Diner!

Great breakfast stop. A little tough with the traffic on on 309 but really just a minor draw back. Good stop for the entire family. Will get very crowded later in the morning. Supported very well by the local folks in the area.

Good comfort food, great value! I've been coming here for about a decade, always in conjunction with some kind of soccer activity at a nearby venue. Most recently was Saturday night after my husband coached in an indoor league. The early-bird specials lasted all the way til 9 pm, included an entree, soup or salad (or a third option I can't remember) two sides, beverage and dessert (latter with limited choice, or credit toward additional choices) And a basket of hot rolls. I went for the fried shrimp, nicely butterflied and fried to perfection. Enjoyed the twice-baked potatoes, the mixed veggies were like the frozen ones my mother served when I was a kid. Salad was nice as well, and we ended up passing on dessert as we were full. It's been a few years since I had breakfast here, but I seem to remember a good experience for the whole group, parents and kids. Would definitely go back when I'm in the area.

Ah Zotos, one of the last quality establishments in the area where you can get a decent homemade meal. I for one have been sick of fast food and the chain restaurants and zotos is a breath of fresh air. the menu is large enough that you could eat there everyday for a month and never get sick of the selections. food is always at top quality. The only problems I have with zotos is for one their coffee is absolutely horrible, it tastes burnt, I think they have it way too hot. Another is the portions of their sides, if you get french fries with your sandwich be prepared to get about 10 steak fries, that's a bummer. But I do highly recommend eating there and I always feel like a youngster in their cause its popular with the older folks. but when older folks like a place you know its a great place to eat!

I've eaten here on many occasions due mainly to convenience. I don't think I've ever had a bad meal, just never anything great either. It always seems that whatever the table next to me is ordering seems much better than what I've ordered. A bit quirky for a dinner as well, breakfast starts at 7AM, whatever happened to diners being open 24 hours? The early bird special starts at 2pm; that sound ok; but goes until 9pm at night. What kind of nut engineered an early bird special that lasts until 9 at night? Keep away from the salads too, during the summer I prefer coldslaw, macaroni or potato salad for sides, everyne has been a disappointment for me. This is not exactly a cheap place either, nor is it expensive, but I am usually left feeling I paid a bit much for what I got. The service is usually pretty fast and the team of sultry waitresses are generally eager to please. Not a bad place to grab a quick bite, but a big step down from most of the diner's over in Jersey.

Everything a diner should be. Friendly staff, large menu, great-deal-specials, and good, solid diner food. And to top it off, for 50 cents more, you can add onions to your home fries. Mmm.

this is an economical and decent place with American food- nothing too foofy or foodie; nothing on the menu that you cannot pronounce or that you have not eaten before. Went on a busy Sunday night and we got quick service; coffee was very good. Cole slaw was fresh and not overly mayonaised. Everything was spotlessly clean. My boyfriend, BTW, is asian American and no one was rude or even looked twice at him, so I was very surprised at the experience recounted by a previous reviewer.

Zotos is my favorite dinner in the area. The food is always good. I've lived in the area for 42 years and have come here frequently. I've never had a bad meal. The help has always been courtous and helpful.
